I’ve always craved a little more play and creativity in my everyday life. Over the years I dipped into all sorts of crafts, each one reminding me how much I love working with my hands. Slowly, they all led me toward ceramics. The moment I touched clay, I was hooked. I bought a handful of supplies and started making plates for family and friends from my kitchen table — and I haven’t looked back.

I fell in love with the meditative, rhythmic nature of a regular creative practice. After plenty of experimentation (and just as many failures), I’ve found a style that feels true to me and allows me to express my ideas in an honest, joyful way.

My work is inspired by the natural world and by my childhood in the Northumberland countryside — wildflowers, woodland walks, and my mother’s beloved garden. I hand-paint each ceramic plate using a style influenced by Indian decorative painting and traditional block printing, creating pieces that are distinctive yet delicate and entirely one-of-a-kind.

Focusing mainly on handbuilt decorative ceramic plates, I create my own moulds to shape forms with soft, flattering profiles. They gently shift and undulate through the firing process, resulting in unique, handmade plates every time.

I hope my ceramics bring a little joy into your home too.
