Green Plate #9
This decorative plate is the only one with this design - there is no blue version. Initially inspired by a tulip bulb, the pattern went in another direction to create a thick pattern around the edge in a deep forest green.
The natural buff of the stoneware clay showing through a light wash of white swept over the clay to give warmth and depth, with the deep green hand painted design drawing the eye.
The hand built process and design gives a pleasing natural flutter which, when hung on a wall, gives a lovely side profile complimenting the face of the plate.
This plate can be bought individually or with another to create a mis-matched pair.
Materials – stoneware, painted with underglaze and a transparent glaze wash
Approx size – 21cm diameter
Care – please wash with warm warm and wipe clean – not dishwasher friendly
