The very first floral border I painted, this plates features a bold yet delicate floral border in a striking blue. The plate itself is lightly washed with white with the buff of the stoneware shining through adding character, depth and warmth.
The hand built process and design gives a pleasing natural flutter with a coil-built foot lifting the plate away from the wall when hung giving a lovely side profile complimenting the face of the plate.
Being hand made and hand painted, each plate has their own subtle variations and irregularities making each piece unique.
Materials - Stoneware clay, underglaze, transparent glaze wash
Size - Approx. 21cm diameter
Care - Hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth. Not dishwasher safe
