This decorative plate hero's a repetative floral desing of hand painted blue flowers, inspired by the style of Indian paintings and textile block printing to stand out from the crowd.
The natural buff of the stoneware clay shows through a light, rough wash of white swept over the clay to give warmth and depth, with the classic blue and white ceramic plate drawing the eye.
The hand built process and design gives a pleasing natural flutter which, when hung on a wall, gives a lovely side profile complimenting the face of the plate.

Materials – stoneware clay, painted with underglaze and a transparent glaze wash
Approx size – 21cm diameter
Care – please lightly handwash wash with warm water and wipe clean
